Welcome to the Faculty of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Kabale University.  The faculty has two main departments namely; Department of Agriculture Sciences and the Department of Environmental Sciences.  The Department of Agriculture Sciences runs two programs, namely; Bachelor of Agriculture and Land Use Management, and Bachelor of Agribusiness. The programs in the Department of Environmental Sciences include a Master of Science in Environment and Natural Resources, Bachelor of Environmental Sciences, and Diploma in Environmental Sciences.

The uniqueness of the Faculty
Kabale University is located in the mountainous areas of Kigezi highlands. These are environmentally sensitive areas and agriculture takes place on steep slopes with one of the highest rural population densities in Africa. The faculty programs are reviewed every three 3 years to make them academically relevant in farming communities and competitive in the job market.  Graduates find employment in a wide range of organizations in government, Non-governmental organizations, and private sectors. Key areas of specialization include agribusiness and post-harvest handling of agricultural commodities, and environmental management in the ecologically fragile environment.
