Dr. Proscovia Renzaho Ntakyo is a Lecturer of Agribusiness and Agricultural Economics in the Department of Agricultural Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences. Prossy holds a Ph.D. in Development Economics from Wageningen University and her expertise is in agricultural and Development Economics. She did her MSc in Agricultural Economics and BSc in Agriculture from Makerere University Kampala and she has done other short courses at Groningen University the Netherlands, University of Queensland Australia, Uganda Management Institute (UMI), Kampala and Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), Uganda. Her research is mainly in the area of impact assessment, food security, value chains, household behavior, and smallholder production systems. Prossy has a wide experience in agricultural research acquired from the National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO) in Uganda where she was engaged in research on smallholder systems, monitoring and evaluation for about eleven years. Before joining NARO, Prossy worked as an animal husbandry officer at livestock experimental station, Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) in Uganda.
