The Academic Calendar for the 2025/2026 Academic Year will span 36 weeks, running from 9th August 2025 to 29th May 2026, and applies to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Important dates include:

Examination Periods:

Semester One Examinations: Start from 29th November 2025

Semester Two Examinations: Begin on 15th May 2026
These will include regular undergraduate, in-service teacher, and postgraduate examinations.
Major Meetings & Committees:
Routine and strategic meetings such as Management meetings (weekly), Senate sessions, Faculty Board meetings, Postgraduate Training Boards, and Research & Publications Boards have all been scheduled across the academic year.

Public Holidays:
The University will observe all national holidays, including Independence Day (9th October 2025), Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Women’s Day, Labour Day, and Heroes’ Day, among others.
