The Department of Civil Engineering, a vibrant constituent of the Faculty of Engineering, Technology, Applied Design, and Fine Art at Kabale University, is dedicated to producing highly skilled and innovative civil engineers. We are committed to addressing the infrastructure needs of Uganda and the wider region through rigorous academic programs and cutting-edge research.

With a dynamic team of over 20 faculty members (12 full time, 5 part time and 3 Technical Aid Corps (TAC), the department boasts a wealth of expertise across diverse civil engineering disciplines. Our faculty are dedicated to providing students with a comprehensive and practical education, ensuring they are well-prepared for the challenges of the modern engineering world.

We offer a diverse range of programs, catering to various academic aspirations and career paths. Our offerings include:

• Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering: Specializing in areas such as Structural Engineering, Highway and Transportation Engineering, Construction Technology and Management, and Water Resources Engineering.
• Master’s Programs: Specializing in areas such as Structural Engineering, Highway and Transportation Engineering, Construction Technology and Management, and Water Resources Engineering. Providing advanced knowledge and research opportunities in specialized civil engineering fields.
• Bachelor of Civil Engineering: A comprehensive undergraduate program equipping students with fundamental engineering principles and practical skills.
• Ordinary Diploma Programs: Offering foundational training in civil engineering technology.
