Philip Tibenderana is an enthusiastic, self-motivated, reliable and innovative mid-career professional with a very good academic record and passion for continuous learning. He is an excellent team player with a personable nature and positive communication style, experienced in teaching and student mentorship in the area of water resources management, design of catchment-based water resources management interventions, programme management, resource mobilization, team development and sustainable service delivery.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Water Management from Cranfield University, UK, a six-time winner of the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Further and Higher Education and one of the top World universities for commercial research, consultancy and professional development. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Makerere University, which he acquired in 2003. He brings extensive experience, of over 15 years, in water resources management to a fast-growing public university with a focus on teaching, research and community engagement.

He is currently an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering, handling areas in Fluid Mechanics, Hydrology, Hydraulics, Public Health and Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering and other inter-disciplinary courses like Construction Management, Project Planning and Management, Construction Economics, Civil Engineering Infrastructure Maintenance, Environmental Quality Management and supervision of various student research projects.
