Samuel Tashobya

Assistant Lecturer-Highways & Structural Engineering

Samuel Tashobya is a spirited and enterprising Civil engineering professional with several years of experience in the engineering field and academia. He teaches structural and materials units at the faculty of Engineering, Technology, Applied Design and Fine Art under the department of Civil Engineering.

He obtained Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Sciences and Technology Houari Boumediene studying Bridges, Roads, Prestressed concrete, Metallic construction, Dams, Railways, Earthquake engineering among others. His Master’s thesis was a design study of a prestressed concrete multi-beam bridge. He also received training in AutoCAD and SAP 2000.

He has worked on several civil engineering projects, engaged with Supervision of Road works and Inspection of roads, bridges and culvert structures. He also undertook several internships in Uganda and Algeria. He taught secondary school Physics and Chemistry. He is a good team player, punctual, steadfast and diligent. He also communicates fluently in the French language.
