Prof (Dr). Abanis has over 15 years experience of working in various organizations at National, Regional and international levels at managerial and senior operational levels. He worked as a Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dean- School of Business, Head of Department of Business and as a Chief Accountant. Over the years he has participated in design and implementation of institutional systems of Universities and many financial, human resource and development projects and programs, designing and implementing financial plans, supervision and coordination of organizational activities, planning and budget execution. Prof. Abanis has supervised five Ph.D. students and over 50 Masters Students successfully and over 190 Bachelors students and has conducted many consultancies.

Focus is on Financial Modelling, Financial Intelligence, Financial Markets with focus on currencies and crypto currencies and other emerging markets, Financial Management, Performance of SMEs, Financial Reporting, Internal Control Systems, Corporate Governance and Project Cost Management
