Abstract

Abstract
Engagement of the teacher educators as learners in research becomes more meaningful and significant
when they are enabled to serve for their purpose. This colloquium is meant to impress the impact of
successful intelligence (combination of creative, analytical and practical intelligences) and
innovators’ DNA/deoxyribonucleic acid (traits of associating, questioning, observing, experimenting
and networking) to the practice of research advising. A creative navigation of the Pareto Principle,
70%-25%-5% focus to the context of research engagement will be crafted. Techniques such as
quality circle, practice drills/worksheets, creative quotient and innovators’ DNA inventories and
situational analysis will be employed to actively involve the participants. The key impact of this
presentation is geared towards a proactive experiential research engagement where the participants
will be able to recognize the importance of utilizing individual creative, analytical and practical
intelligences in research that is proactive for the teacher learners to (1) create concreteness from the
abstract in conducting research; (2) learn and conduct research responsibly; (3) exhibit creativity and
innovativeness in their research endeavors; (4) adapt substantial information and innovative options
to create an enabling and highly supportive research engagement in multi-site settings and situations
