Runyakitara Teachers’ Conference 2025


The Department of Runyakitara at Kabale University’s Institute of Language Studies invites all teachers of Runyankore/Rukiga and Runyoro/Rutooro (Runyakitara) across the Western Region to a two-day Runyakitara Teachers’ Conference on 21st and 22nd February 2025 at Teaching Facility 1, Kabale University Main Campus, Kikungiri, Kabale Town.

Chief Guest
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, will officiate the opening session on the first day of the conference.

This conference provides an opportunity to:

  • Engage with fellow teachers, linguists, writers, translators, and language-based creative artists.
  • Gain insights from presenters from Makerere University and Kabale University.
  • Share experiences and best practices in teaching Runyakitara.
