Prof. Oswald Ndoleriire

Professor-Runyakitara & French

Born on 30/11/1948 at Butiiti, in Kyenjojo District in Uganda. Had primary education in Kyenjojo District, secondary education in Kabarole District and higher education in Masaka District Uganda, for a short time, before travelling to the University of Antananarivo in Madagascar for further studies under a French scholarship. After obtaining a diploma in French from Madagascar, proceeded to France in 1970 to the university Of Caen for a year then transferred to the university of Sorbonne Nouvelle, Paris, France where I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in French as my Master’s and PhD Linguistics.

In 1978 I moved to Nigeria and taught at Alvan Ikoku college of Education in Owerri, Imo State

 

Currently Professor of Runyakitara and French at Kabale University in Southwestern Uganda.

Retired Professor of Linguistics of Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda.

Served as College Principal, Faculty Dean and Institute Director at Makerere University.

Also taught at Kenyatta University, Nairobi, Kenya and Alvan Ikoku College of Education in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria.

A seasoned Conference Interpreter: French-English and English-French, with more than 40 years of experience.
