Herbert Izo Ninsiima is trained in clinical medicine and community Health, Master of Medical Physiology and Bachelor of Science in Medical Physiology. He has teaching and management experience at the university level for more than 10 years, having served as an assistant lecturer, Head of Department, Department Examination Officer, and Associate Dean of Faculty. He has trained students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Herbert has also contributed to the clinical services in pediatrics and training students at the bedside.

Herbert has research interests spanning Non-communicable diseases (Diabetes mellitus, Hypertension, Peptic ulcer disease, Alzheimer’s’ disease, and epilepsy).

He has championed and trained in the development and review of medical and Physiology curricula.

Herbert is compassionate in teaching Physiology and community-based education for behavioral change. He is also interested in research ethics and responsible conduct of research.

He has supervised and mentored several undergraduate and postgraduate students’ research.

Herbert likes listening to inspirational gospel music and reading about advances in Physiology and medicine. He is an inspirational speaker, mentor, and preacher.
