Orientation Schedule for New Undergraduate Students – 2025/2026 Academic Year

Kabale University warmly welcomes all newly admitted undergraduate students to the 2025/2026 Academic Year. The orientation program is designed to help you transition smoothly into university life, familiarize yourself with campus services, and connect with key administrative and academic units.

The program will run from Saturday, 9th August 2025 to Tuesday, 26th August 2025 across various venues at the Main Campus, Kikungiri.

Key Activities Overview

Saturday 9th – Sunday 10th August 2025

  • Activity: Receiving of Students
  • Venue: Main Campus Kikungiri Quadrangle
  • Facilitators: Office of the Dean of Students & Students’ Guild

Monday 11th – Friday 22nd August 2025

  • Activity: Reporting, Verification, and Registration
  • Venue: Main Campus Kikungiri Quadrangle
  • Facilitators: Office of the Academic Registrar & Office of the Dean of Students

Training in University Digital Systems

Dates: Wednesday 13th – Friday 15th August & Monday 18th – Friday 22nd August 2025
Venues: Teaching Facility Rooms 1 & 2, New Computer Lab

Morning Sessions (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM)

  • Introduction to KAB Communications Department
  • Creation of Student AIMS Accounts
  • Emails & Website Navigation
  • Overview of AIMS
  • Introduction to the Learning Management System (LMS)

Afternoon Sessions (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM)

  • Student Portal Navigation
  • Introduction to the Library System
  • Student Enrollments & Registration
  • Course Allocations
  • Fees Payment Procedures
  • Assignments & Test Attempt Procedures
  • Questions & Answers Session

Other Activities

  • Saturday 16th August 2025: Tour around Kabale town by the Students’ Guild
  • Sunday 17th August 2025: Prayers in respective places of worship

Faculty Orientation

  • Date: Monday 25th August 2025
  • Activity: Orientation by respective Faculties

Main Orientation Day

  • Date: Tuesday 26th August 2025
  • Venue: KAB Sports Grounds

Program Highlights:

  • Arrival of Students & Officials
  • Addresses from the Students’ Guild, Senior Counselor, Security, Health Services, Estates, Communications & Branding, Deputy Chief DICTS, University Bursar, Dean of Students, Academic Registrar, and Vice Chancellor
  • Official closure of the Orientation

Participation in the orientation program is mandatory for all new students. The sessions will equip you with essential information and skills for a successful academic journey at Kabale University.
