Kabale University, in collaboration with Mountains of the Moon University (MMU), is pleased to announce a call for applications for the SFR2CC Project Scholarship under the project titled:
“Strengthening Smallholder Farmer Resilience to Climate Change through Joint Learning, Development, and Evaluation of Contextualised Solutions (SFR2CC)”
The SFR2CC project is supported by the Water and Development Partnership Programme of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and is being implemented in the Rwenzori and Kigezi highland regions. Partners include Kigezi Women in Development (KWID) and Joint Effort to Save the Environment (JESE).
This scholarship targets early-career Ugandan scientists committed to advancing on-farm water management solutions for smallholder farmers through postgraduate research and interdisciplinary learning.
Available Scholarships
Five (5) scholarships are available for the MSc in Environment and Natural Resources at Kabale University for the 2025/2026 academic year. At least 40% of the scholarships are reserved for female applicants and those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Eligibility Criteria
Basic Requirements
Applicants must:

Be Ugandan nationals and permanent residents;

Be under 35 years old (male) or under 40 years old (female);

Hold a second-class upper or better degree in Environmental, Biological, Agricultural, or Natural Sciences (or equivalent);

Have an admission letter to the MSc Environment and Natural Resources program at Kabale University.
Required Documents
Eligible applicants must submit:

A completed Scholarship Application Form;

A typed motivation letter (maximum 1 page);

A Curriculum Vitae (maximum 2 pages);

A recommendation letter (from an employer or academic referee);

Certified academic transcripts and certificates;

A copy of a National ID, passport, or birth certificate.

The university is growing at a terrible speed that her counterparts in the region. Kabale University is taking them through introducing relevant programs. Instead of going to MUK, I now consider KAB as the new bridge to my long awaited academic success.
