Kabale University informs all continuing students of the important fees payment and registration guidelines for Semester II of the Academic Year 2025/2026, as issued by the University Bursar in the official circular.
Semester Commencement Dates
- Semester II commenced on 16th February 2026 for all continuing students.
- HEC students resumed on 19th January 2026.
- Recess students resumed on 6th January 2026.
Students are strongly encouraged to enroll at the start of the semester to facilitate billing, payment, and registration processes.
Registration and Payment Requirements
Within the first 30 days of the semester, students must register after making:
- At least 50% payment of both tuition and functional fees for undergraduate students.
- At least 60% payment of both tuition and functional fees for postgraduate students.
Registration Deadlines:
- Continuing students: 18th March 2026
- HEC and Recess students: 18th February 2026
Failure to register within the stipulated timelines will attract a late registration charge of UGX 50,000.
Full Fees Clearance
All university fees must be fully settled by:
- 24th May 2026 for continuing students
- 26th April 2026 for HEC students
Students are advised to plan accordingly to avoid academic and administrative inconveniences.
HESFB Loan Beneficiaries
Students under the Higher Education Students’ Financing Board Loan Scheme are required to submit a completed Student Loan Agreement (SLA) form for the semester, clearly indicating any unpaid balances, to the Quality Assurance Office within 30 days from the start of the semester. Failure to comply may result in additional charges.
Mode of Payment
All tuition and functional fees payments must be made after generating a Payment Registration Number (PRN) from the individual student portal. Payments should be made to URA through:
- Recognised commercial banks
- Authorised bank agents
- Approved mobile money platforms
Students are encouraged to comply with the above guidelines to ensure smooth registration and uninterrupted academic progress.
