Dr. Katushabe Calorine is a dedicated academic and researcher specializing in the Internet of Things, wireless intelligent sensor networks, and computer science education. She currently serves as a Lecturer at Kabale University.
With over a decade of academic experience, she has made notable research contributions through numerous publications in reputable journals. Her work focuses on key areas such as IoT-enabled real-time air quality monitoring, fuzzy-based air quality prediction models, distributed data management in edge computing, and software engineering. She has authored and co-authored papers in esteemed journals, advancing knowledge in wireless sensor networks, AI-driven environmental monitoring, and the practical applications of IoT in addressing real-world challenges.
Dr. Katushabe is a dedicated advocate for women in STEM, actively promoting gender inclusivity in science and technology. She mentors young girls in the sciences through outreach programs designed to inspire and support their pursuit of STEM careers. Her efforts include encouraging female students to explore computing and engineering, sharing her experiences as a researcher in IoT and artificial intelligence, and advocating for greater representation of women in technology-driven fields.
