I am a dedicated public health specialist and an assistant lecturer with a strong academic and professional background in Public Health and Counseling Psychology, currently serving in the Department of Community Health at Kabale University. I hold a Master of Public Health (MPH) and a Master of science in Counseling Psychology, a combination that uniquely positions me to integrate disease prevention, health promotion, and mental health support in both community and academic settings.
With extensive experience in health promotion, disease prevention, community-based interventions, and behavior change communication, my work focuses on improving the wellbeing of vulnerable populations through evidence-based public health approaches. My training in counseling psychology further strengthens my expertise in mental health, enabling me to understand psychosocial factors that influence health behaviors, guide supportive counseling processes, and contribute to mental wellness initiatives.
I am an enthusiastic educator, committed researcher, and passionate community health advocate. I have taught and supervised students at an undergraduate level, consistently aiming to build the next generation of competent health professionals. My research work spans areas such as non-communicable diseases, environmental health, food safety and hygiene, and child health, reflecting a strong interest in applied public health research that directly informs policy and practice.
Professionally, I am recognized for being hard-working, self-driven, and highly results-oriented, thriving both independently and in multidisciplinary teams. I value integrity, professionalism, and continuous learning, and I actively participate in community outreach programs, health education activities, and capacity-building initiatives.
I am deeply committed to contributing to improved health outcomes through innovative health promotion strategies, strengthened mental health support systems, and research that addresses real-world public health challenges.

Research Interests
My research interests are grounded primarily in public health, with a focus on disease prevention, health promotion, and the behavioral and environmental factors that influence community health outcomes.
I am particularly interested in improving hygiene practices, food safety, and community-based health education as key strategies for reducing the burden of preventable diseases.
Building on my background in counseling psychology, I also explore how psychosocial and behavioral elements shape health-seeking behaviours, treatment adherence, and overall well-being.
With extensive experience teaching at the university level and working with diverse populations, my work aims to strengthen evidence-based public health interventions that enhance community resilience and improve population health.
