The Dean Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences (FEMS), at Kabale University. Holds a PhD from the University of Washington PA in Business Administration. Key research areas are on development and business administration, training and capacity building and research and methodology, public policy, organizational development , Trade , Regional Economic Integration and energy fpor sustainable development.
Served as a lecturer, Professor, planner, international development program specialist, consultant and adviser. Conducted research on topical issues concerning regional economic integration, trade and investment, energy and sustainable development, corporate governance; and addressing a range of issues relating to international development programs, project management, monitoring and evaluation.
Coordinated the formulation and design of curriculum for Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in Uganda and Rwanda Universities.
Served as the Principal Investigator in World Bank Funded projects, DFID-UK, AU, UNDP and Government of Uganda in the Trade, Investment, Administration and Governance sectors.
Possesses 25 years experience of Academic teaching and research at a University level.
Served as HOD, Director of Academic Quality for 14 years in College of Business and Economics, University of Rwanda , Internal reviewer for HEC, and Dean for 10 years in UR and Kabale University, combined. Supervised over 400 postgraduate students and 3 PhD students up to their successful completion. A principal coordinator of capacity building programs for Local Governments in poverty and sustainable development and livelihoods in Uganda, headed program support unit of UNDP in Trinidad and Tobago for 2 years and UNDP programe officer for UNDP in Addis Ababa for 5 years.
A Principal Investigator ( PI) for over 10 National and International consultancies in private sector development, capacity building and research, public sector reforms and renewable energy technologies. Served as the adviser for high level government officials in Government including Southern Sudan and Rwanda, in the trade, commerce and energy sectors.
A member of Board for several Institutions in Government aided Secondary and Post Secondary Institutions. A UNDP and DFID Technical assistance advisor and to several international organizations and the Government of South Sudan in areas of Institutional, capacity building and training where I also served as the Adviser to the Minister of Trade and Commerce. I served as Principal Planner and Economist for Civil Aviation Authority(CAA).
