The Office of the University Bursar, Kabale University, has issued the Semester Fees Payment Guidelines and Key Dates for Academic Year 2026/2027. The circular provides important information to all students, particularly new students, regarding enrolment, registration, fees payment requirements, deadlines and eligibility for end-of-semester examinations.
In accordance with the Kabale University Admission and Registration Policy, 2026 and the Examinations Policy, 2026, all students are required to enrol, register and pay the prescribed fees at the beginning of every semester.

Fees Payment Requirements
Students are required to observe the following minimum payment requirements:
- Undergraduate students: At least 50% of the total fees must be paid within the registration period.
- Postgraduate students: At least 60% of the total fees must be paid within the registration period.
- Late registration penalty: UGX 50,000 for students registering after the prescribed 30-day period.
- Full fees settlement: All outstanding fees must be cleared by the end of the 14th week of the semester.
Important Reminders to Students
Students are particularly advised to take note of the following requirements:
- Enrolment: All students must enrol within the first 30 days of the semester, including selecting their courses for the semester. New students who fail to enrol within this period forfeit their admission.
- Fees Payment: Students should generate a Payment Reference Number (PRN) through the Student Portal and make payments through URA using recognised commercial banks, bank agents, or mobile money. Kabale University does not accept direct cash payments.
- Loan Scheme Students: Students under the loan scheme must submit a fully completed Student Loan Agreement (SLA) form to Quality Assurance and the Office of the University Bursar within 30 days of the semester to avoid penalties.
- Examination Eligibility: Only duly registered students are eligible to sit for end-of-semester examinations. Students must have valid system-generated Examination and Registration Cards, a Student Identity Card, and a paid-up annual subscription for NCHE.
- Academic Integrity: Students are reminded that examination malpractice, plagiarism, and academic cybercrime attract severe penalties, including dismissal.
- Examination Cards: Forgery, falsification, or presenting another student’s Examination Card at an examination venue attracts automatic dismissal from the University.
