The Office of the Electoral Commission 2026 wishes to inform all students that the Commission, chaired by the Chairperson together with other Commissioners, has reviewed the nomination fees charged in previous years.
Following this review, and in a bid to promote fairness and inclusiveness in student leadership, the Commission has resolved to reduce the nomination fees as follows:
- GRC Nomination Fee: Reduced from UGX 280,000 to UGX 200,000
- Guild President Nomination Fee: Reduced from UGX 600,000 to UGX 400,000
This decision is intended to enable more students to participate and actively contest for leadership positions.
Important Notice:
Students are required to come with a small payment for nomination forms on the respective pick-up days:
- GRCs: Thursday, 26th February 2026 to Saturday, 28th February 2026
- Guild Presidents: Monday, 2nd March 2026 to Tuesday, 3rd March 2026
Students are encouraged to take note of the revised fees and timelines.
