PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- To conduct high quality research and teach undergraduate, postgraduate and research students as appropriate.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares lectures and delivers them to undergraduate and post-graduate students.
- Sets tests, examinations and course work.
- Administers and invigilates tests and examinations.
- Marks tests, course work and examinations scripts, compiles and grades examination results.
- Guides and advises students on their academic performance.
- Attends to students’ non-academic challenges and refers those that need further counseling and guidance.
- Conducts research and disseminates research findings through conferences, seminars and publications.
- Supervises undergraduate and post graduate students undertaking research projects.
- Conducts seminars and tutorials.
- Carries out official administrative duties in the department as directed by the Head of Department.
- Contributes to the University and wider society through community service.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
- Should have an earned PhD in a relevant discipline
- Should have a Bachelors Degree in a relevant Discipline
- Should have excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills.
- Should have proven ability to conduct scholarly research.
- Should be computer literate.
- Should have the ability to work in a team and network with the like-minded.
- Should have at least two (2) years teaching experience at the level of Assistant Lecturer gained from a recognized institution of higher learning.
- Should have a good track record of service to the public.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- To deputise the Academic Registrar in supporting the administration and organisation of all academic matters including admission, undergraduate studies, postgraduate studies, examinations, research and publications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports the Academic Registrar in planning and coordinating curriculum development for all programs and courses taught at the University and affiliate institutions of higher learning.
- Supports the Academic Registrar in managing the implementation of academic policies and procedures approved by Council.
- Coordinates the management of admission of students and advises the Academic Registrar on compliance to University policies and procedures on admissions.
- Supports the Academic Registrar in coordinating management of lectures, examinations, arranging for engagement of External Examiners and release of results in accordance with approved policies and schedules.
- Supports the Academic Registrar in organising graduation ceremonies.
- Supports the Academic Registrar in organising meetings and providing secretariat services to academic related Boards/ Committees instituted by Senate.
- Manages and assessing the performance of lower level staff in the Office of the Academic Registrar.
- Mentors, coaches and counsels staff in the Office of the Academic Registrar.
- Supervises the proper management of records relating to admissions and academics.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
- Should have a Masters degree from a recognized Institution.
- An earned PhD is an added advantage.
- Should have a minimum of eight (8) years working experience, three (3) of which should have been at the level of Principal Assistant Registrar in a recognised academic institution.
- Should have strong leadership and communication skills.
- Should be computer literate.
- Should have a track record of high integrity.
- Ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
JOB TITLE: QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- To undertake quality assurance evaluation, including inspections, of the University’s teaching, learning, research and community service environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Compiles data or information for developing or reviewing quality assurance tools.
- Monitors compliance to the established quality assurance framework and other legal, policy and strategic requirements and programs.
- Provides technical support to the various academic and administrative units in the implementation or enhancement of quality assurance systems within the University.
- Undertakes the conduct of quality assurance and quality enhancement activities of the University.
- Prepares and submits quality and inspection reports and reports on feedback from the various units of the University.
- Provides technical support to University units in dealing with challenges arising after implementation of quality programs.
- Sensitizes, educates and trains both staff and other relevant Stakeholders in Quality Management Systems.
- Analyses cumulative quality assessments and advises the Senior Quality Assurance Officer accordingly.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
- Should have Masters degree from a recognized institution.
- Should have at least three (3) years’ experience in rating and assessment gained from a recognized University and should be at the rank of at least Assistant Lecturer.
- Should have good communication and people skills.
- Should have demonstrated an acceptable level of personal integrity in service.
- Should be computer literate / IT skills are a must.
Post Title: MARKETING AND BRANDING OFFICER (Re-advertised)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLE
- Brand Asset Management: Maintaining a consistent, corporate, unique identity with the use of University colors, brand elements such as the logo and their placements, etc
- Coordinate with other University web unit managers to ensure brand consistence e.g. E-learning, Library site, Research IDR site, etc
- Promotional content graphics design (flyers, booklets, cards etc)
- Support in multimedia broadcast of University events (graduation, public lectures, conferences etc)
- Support the University academic units in sourcing or creating multimedia content for promotion, communication and other purposes.
- Coordination with other specialists e.g web administrator in the website graphics design and improvement.
- Development of the marketing tactical plans and execution tactics for the department
- Developing the department’s marketing campaigns
- Developing the university digital marketing plans and coordinating the campaigns with the senior communications officer.
- Conducting market intelligence and surveys to inform policy.
- Designing of the University newsletter and contributing content to it.
- Multimedia content development for the website and other platforms (video & audio visual), Videos, etc
- Routinely monitor uploads on the University website and advise the superiors
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION:
- Must have Masters in either Marketing, Business Administration (Marketing specialization) or related Branding studies.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Marketing) or related course (BCOM, BSc Marketing, International Business Management).
- Should have three (3) years experience in marketing from a reputable organization.
- Demonstrated experience of having worked in an academic institution or dynamic marketing environment.
- High event management skills
- A demonstrated understanding of the digital marketing environment
- Proven skills in timely delivery on assigned duties.
- Experience in tactical operation policy and strategy
- Should have good interpersonal and effective communication skills.
