Re-appointment of the Academic Registrar

This is to inform Kabale University Community and the General Public that in exercise of its powers conferred the relevant sections of the University and Other Tertiary Institutions Act 2001 as amended, the relevant provisions of the Kabale University Human Resource Manual (2016) as amended and on the basis of recommendations from the University appointments Board, the University Council at its 17th meeting held on 27th February 2020,under Min.185.5(b)/17/C/2020 approved the renewal of contract for Narcicir Tibenderana as the Academic Registrar for the next five years.

Narcicir Tibenderana (M.ED-Manchester) is an experienced education administrator. He has over 20 years of progressive management and academic experience. He has a Master’s Degree in Educational Management and Administration from the University of Manchester -United Kingdom, a Diploma Business Management and Administration, British College of Professional Management, Jersey- UK and a B.A with Education Degree from Makerere University, Kampala. He has been the Academic Registrar of Kabale University since 2015. He served as an Acting University Secretary for Kabale University in 2017.

Before joining Kabale University, he worked as a Principal of Uganda College of Commerce Tororo and Aduku, and Deputy Principal Uganda College of Commerce Kabale. His wide experience as a trained teacher and headteacher at all levels within the Ugandan system of education provides him a unique experience in the administration of student academic affairs.

The University wishes to congratulate Mr. Tibenderana on this administrative recognition and we wish him the best as he takes over the office of Academic Registrar in the next five years.
