Kabale University announces the retirement of Vice Chancellor Prof. Joy C. Kwesiga, following the successful completion of her contract at the end of June 2026. Prof. Kwesiga is commended for her transformative leadership and dedicated service to the institution. The University Chancellor has appointed Prof. Johnny Mugisha, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, to serve as Acting Vice Chancellor. Prof. Mugisha assumes the role immediately to ensure seamless administrative continuity and academic excellence. On behalf of the University Council, I extend our heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Kwesiga for her stellar leadership. This has made Kabale University a center of excellence. We also congratulate Prof. Johnny Mugisha on his appointment as Acting Vice-Chancellor.
