Department of Environmental Law
In the face of the current global environmental crisis, the Department of Environmental Law aims to contribute to transformative change through teaching, community engagement, research and knowledge dissemination in order to contribute to some of the global environmental concerns which can be generally summed up into biological diversity loss, pollution and climate change. The department has encouraged collaborations with different government agencies, civil society and a range of researchers, scholars, and experts in the fields of water law, business and human rights, climate change, biological diversity law and sustainable development, among many fields. With a focus on environmental justice, the department seeks to recruit, train and produce highly competitive law researchers, scholars and students in the area of environmental law.
