Agnes Natukunda is an astute lawyer and a human rights advocate. She has since becoming a lawyer/advocate engaged in human rights advocacy and private legal practice and engaged in research and alternative dispute mechanisms for court-annexed. As an advocate of the high court of Uganda, I have embarked on pursuing a Ph.D. in law where I look forward to developing new ideas and improving my understanding through creating new knowledge. I hold a postgraduate diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre, a Master of Laws (Oil & Gas) from Uganda Christian University, a postgraduate diploma in legal practice from the Institute of Legal Practice and Development Rwanda, a Bachelor’s degree in law from Uganda Pentecostal University.

Research Interests

  1. Alternative Dispute Resolution (Mediation). Participation of Litigants in Judicial processes.
  2. GBV & harmful practices in schools, families and communities. Measures for children to protect themselves from violence.
  3. The rights and obligations of Children/Students in the pursuit of their education must be preserved.
  4.  Understanding prevalent Riots among the youth in Uganda.
