Assistant Lecturer - Tourism

Mackline is an Assistant Lecturer in Institute of Tourism and Hospitality. She serves as the Head of Department Tourism Management at the moment. She is a PhD student at Kabale University and holds a Master of Science in Tourism Planning and Management, a Master of Management Studies (Procurement and
Supply Chain Management), a Postgraduate Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, a National Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management and Bachelors of Tourism.

Mackline is passionate about assisting student’s academic success in the classroom. She is dedicated to positively engaging young minds and imparting knowledge and skills. She has more than ten years teaching experience at University level, with a focus on tourism management.

Started her academic career in 2006 and has since worked as a tutor of tourism and deputy principal at Rukungiri Institute of Management for three years, a tutor at the YMCA branch in Mbarara for five years, an associate consultant at the Mbarara branch of Management Training and Advisory Committee for two years, an assistant lecturer part-time Kyambogo University for five years, and currently an assistant lecturer of tourism at Kabale University.

She has five years of experience as a Chief Examiner for Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board (UBTEB) in tourism, procurement/purchasing, and clearing and forwarding examinations as well as a Chief Item Writer and Moderator for UBTEB in tourism, procurement/purchasing, and clearing and forwarding items.

  • Bachelor of Tourism, Makerere University
