Sandra Atukwatse
Sandra Atukwatse is a passionate Communication professional with experience in Digital Content Management, Branding, and Strategic Communication. She currently serves as an Assistant Administrative Officer in the Faculty of Computing, Library and Information Science, where she supports academic and administrative processes.
Previously, she served as an Assistant Administrative Officer in the Directorate of Graduate Training, where she oversaw the day-to-day operations of the Directorate and provided dedicated support to Postgraduate students, both Master’s and PhD students.
In this role, she enhanced strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills and gained valuable experience in academic coordination, stakeholder engagement, and student support. She developed a keen ability to manage complex administrative processes with precision, foster collaboration across departments, and maintain a high standard of service delivery for postgraduate students. This experience strengthened her capacity for strategic planning, problem-solving, and detail-oriented management within an academic environment. Her commitment to student success and her attention to detail greatly contributed to the effective running of the Directorate.
In her previous roles, she has worked as an Assistant Communications and Branding Officer in the Communications, Branding, and Marketing Department at Kabale University, where she played a key role in managing the university’s digital platforms, curating content, and driving online engagement strategies that ensured the institution’s strong and consistent brand presence. Her contribution helped build a strong, consistent, and relatable university brand across digital spaces.
Beyond her administrative and communication roles, Sandra is a voice-over artist with a passion for radio and audio production, as well as photography, particularly portrait and documentary photography that tells authentic human stories through visual media.
Sandra holds a Master of Arts in Literature from Kabale University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication from Uganda Christian University. She also holds professional certifications in Social Media Marketing (Meta) and Digital Journalism (Reuters & Meta Journalism Project).
She is driven by a commitment to excellence, creativity, and continuous learning.
