Hannington Ngabirano is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at Kabale University. Currently is a Ph.D. candidate (Chemistry) in the Department of Chemistry at Mbarara University of Science and Technology. His thesis research focuses on “Pesticide Use in Production of Commonly Grown Vegetables – A Case Study of Pesticide Use and Pesticide Residues in Vegetables in Kabale District, Uganda”. Hannington’s research interests are in identifying commonly grown and sprayed vegetables and pesticides used therein; investigating pesticide use and practices involved in pesticide application in the vegetables grown; determining pesticide residue concentrations in the vegetables and investigating persistence of pesticide residues in the vegetables in Kabale District, Uganda. Hannington is a graduate in Chemistry, holds a Master of Science in Chemistry, Bachelor of Science – Chemistry (Hons.) and a Diploma in Education.
