Ritah Nabirumbi is a lecturer of medical Pharmacology in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology of Kabale University School of Medicine. She joined the institution in 2018 and teaches students reading MBChB, Nursing science and Anesthesia courses.
Ritah started her lecturing career in 2006 and has taught medical pharmacology, toxicology, therapeutics and, human diseases and essential medicines to MBChB, Anesthesia, nursing, allied health professional and medical records students. She previously taught at Kampala International University and King Caesar University. Ritah believes each student has the ability to learn and achieve their academic dreams if given good academic guidance and learning environment. Her classes are learner-centered where she acts as a guide to the learning process.
She is undertaking her PhD in Pharmacology at Mbarara University of Science and technology. She is investigating on medicinal plants used in management of schizophrenia in western Uganda. Her research interests include; neuropharmacology & natural products.
Ritah is a member of the Uganda Pharmacology society, Natural Product Research Network for East and Central Africa (NAPRECA) and the Allied Health Professionals’ Council Uganda.
