Dr. Nkiru Okafor Christina

Senior Lecturer-Nursing Science

She is a senior Lecturer in the Department of Nursing Science. She is a Registered Nurse, Midwife and Public Health Nurse. She holds B.Sc, M.Sc and PhD all in Nursing Science with area of Specialization in Medical Surgical Nursing.

Dr Christiana has taught in different nursing schools and Universities. She has served in different capacity in the University namely: Examination officer (2019-2022), Medical Surgical Nursing Coordinator (2014-2022), Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) Coordinator (2018 – 2021) to mention but few.  She has successfully supervised over 50 undergraduate research works from 2006 – 2022. She is an approved Post graduate supervisor. She is currently supervising three (3) M.Sc Nursing students who will complete their research dissertations in few months. She has also taught and supervised undergraduate and post graduate nursing students on clinical matters.

Her research interest is in communicable and non – communicable diseases, oncology, intensive or critical care, nursing issues such as administrative and case management.
