Dr. Ivan Oyege is a Fulbright Scholar and a chemist whose work integrates chemical principles with applied research in environmental and agricultural systems. He has several years of experience in university teaching and supervision at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Before joining Kabale University, he served as a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Earth and Environment at Florida International University, USA. He has also taught Environmental Science at Florida International University and Chemistry at Busitema University and the Islamic University in Uganda (Kabojja Campus).
His research and teaching draw on interdisciplinary approaches including Nanotechnology, Agroecology, Artificial intelligence (Machine Learning and Deep Learning), Remote Sensing, Geographic Information Systems, and Environmental Science. Dr. Oyege is committed to rigorous research, innovative teaching, and strong mentorship, and he welcomes collaborations that strengthen chemical education and environmental and agricultural research in Uganda and beyond.

Ph.D. in Earth Systems Science – Applied Chemistry (Florida International University, USA); MSc in Environmental Studies (Florida International University, USA); MSc in Chemistry (Makerere University, Uganda); Bachelor of Science in Education (Chemistry and Mathematics) (Busitema University, Uganda)
