Dr. Ismail Abiola Adebayo (PhD) is a senior lecturer at the Department of Microbiology, Parasitology and Immunology, Kabale University School of Medicine, Kabale, Uganda. He has a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia and a B.Sc. in Microbiology with first class honours from University of Ilorin, Nigeria. During his Ph.D. study, he was awarded the prestigious Universiti Sains Malaysia fellowship award. Also, he was a university scholar during his undergraduate study at University of Ilorin (Nigeria) as he was academically on top of his class throughout the programme. He was awarded the best graduating student prize in the microbiology department in 2012.
He has published several articles in high impact, international ISI and Scopus indexed journals. His research interests cover several aspects of biomedical research which include molecular and cellular biology, proteomics, genomics, cancer biology, bioinformatics, cell culture research, nanomedicine, antimicrobial chemotherapy, phytomedicine, flow cytometry analysis and molecular epidemiology.
He is a molecular biologist, a proteomicist, a microbiologist, and a biomedical researcher. He loves playing scrabble and exploring nature.
