Dr. Agnes Kasede Napyo

Senior Lecturer - Nursing Science

Dr. Agnes Napyo K is a PhD prepared graduate nurse. She  has pursued a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Makerere University, Master of Public Health at Uganda Christian University, a postgraduate diploma in Project Management and Planning at Uganda Management Institute and her PhD (maternal, neonatal and child health in the context of infectious diseases) at the Center for International Health at the University of Bergen in Norway.

She is particularly enthusiastic about research. Her research works and publications have been focused in the areas of Maternal, neonatal and Child Health, infectious disease epidemiology, as well as antimicrobial resistance / one health. Her research methodologies of competence include: observational studies (cross-sectional, case-control and cohort studies) as well as experimental study designs (randomized clinical trials).  She is also very competent in qualitative study designs.

She has played the role of Principle Investigator and Co-Principle Investigator on various research projects mainly clinical trials and details to these are as follows:
