Virtual Chemistry Laboratory Simulator Project Funded by Science , Technology and Innovation- Office of the President Secretariat

Description

The proposed Virtual Chemistry Laboratory simulator (V-chemlab) is an application that will help students, educators and researchers to simulate chemistry experiments that would have been done in physical laboratories, and visualize chemical processes, bonding between chemical elements, thermo-dynamics, electronic configurations, molecular structure visualization, retrieve properties of chemical elements like molecular mass and molecular formulae, balancing chemical equations.

The proposed V-chemlab will be an off-line ready and cross-platform application that can run on the Web, Android devices, IOS devices, and Window devices that permits a user to access the app without the Internet but with timely synchronization therefore supporting a wide range of users.

The proposed V-chemlab will have virtualized equipment’s (apparatus) and chemicals(supplies) that will be used to conduct and setup experiments inorganic/organic or qualitative/quantitative in the learning process to develop and prove theories studied. This will help to generate motivation to learn, develop skills, and support understanding of material.
