Eng. Masamba Pinto

Education—Eng. Masamba holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering degree from Kampala International University, Uganda, awarded in 2025; an honors bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Kabale University, Uganda, awarded in 2022; and a diploma in building and civil engineering from Uganda Technical College Elgon, awarded in 2013.

Professional Memberships—Eng. Masamba is a corporate member of the Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE) and a registered engineer with the Uganda Engineers Registration Board.

Academic Work—Eng. Masamba teaches the following practical courses (undergraduate and postgraduate): pavement and geometrical highway design, soil mechanics, foundations, transportation planning and modelling, highway engineering, traffic engineering and management, advanced mix design, and performance and rehabilitation of pavements.

Work Experience—Eng. Masamba is a very experienced civil engineer with a strong background in material characterization and structural design. Supported by knowledge, learning, innovative research, teaching, and work in:
