Dr. Ronald Mutebi

Lecturer - Technical & Vocational Studies

Ronald Mutebi (PhD) heads the newly created department of Technology and Vocational Skills in the faculty of Engineering, Technology, Applied Design and Fine Art (FETADFA) of Kabale University. A certified ITC-ILO Advanced TVET Manager, he formerly taught and coordinated Technical and Vocational programs in the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of Kyambogo University. Ronald served as a consultant on the world bank funded project to implement the Technical, Vocational Education and Training (TVET) policy reforms in the Ministry of Education, where he spearheaded the drafting and validation of key frameworks, systems, strategies and manuals to support reforms in the Uganda TVET system. Notably, he was the lead specialist in the development and stakeholder consultations of the Uganda TVET Qualifications Framework (UTQF), the Sector Skills Councils Establishment and Engagement Framework (SEEF), and the TVET Council Job Descriptions Manual (JDM). Ronald has also written numerous books for technical subjects in the secondary school (O & A) curriculum and has had various collaborations in TVET research and publications.
