Welcome to the Department of Science Education that serves as the hub for teaching, research and scholarship related to undergraduate and post-graduate Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education. The Department of Science Education is where students and faculty deepens their STEM knowledge through hands and minds on engagements. The department faculty members share commitment to training University students and STEM educators to be leaders and innovate in their respective fields (Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics, etc).

The department maintains close collaboration with STEM colleagues in each of natural science and engineering, and is a recognized leader in discipline-based STEM education research programs. Advanced degree programs are centered around evidence-based, active learning –teaching approaches and cutting edge STEM education research focused on undergraduate and graduate science teaching and learning.

Faculty members in science education department are internationally recognized for their leadership, scholarship and professional service. Alumni have achieved success around the globe in wide range of STEM education carriers in higher education, the private sector and government agencies.
