Dr. Mike Nandala is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Applied Design and Fine Art at the Faculty of Engineering, Technology, Applied Design and Fine Art (Kabale University.  Nandala holds a PhD in Art and Design (Art Theory), Master’s and Bachelor’s in Commercial, Industrial Art and Design (Nkumba University). He has twenty-one (21) years of working experience in lecturing and nine (9) years of administrative work, which has positioned him in several capacities, including programme development, capacity building and research, and human resource management. He also engages in consultancy work, especially in book/magazine/manual design and related publishing projects, academic programme design, book illustration/painting and digital art. He has undertaken several consultancy design assignments with government and local publishing houses. He is also a multidisciplinary researcher and has presented local and international papers. Topics of some conference papers he has presented include cultural heritage tourism and artists in climate change engagement. He is a project partner with Africa-UniNet, based in Vienna, Austria.
