Ferdinand Nduwayo

Assistant Lecturer- Civil Engineering

Ferdinand Nduwayo holds a Masters Degree in Structural Engineering from Leeds University (England) in addition to a Bachelors Degree from the University of Burundi. He is a highly motivated Structural Engineer, more interested in structural Design and Earthquake resistant design of structures. He has a real passion for the innovative and environmentally sensitive building design. He has an extensive experience in building structural design and  building project management.

In addition, he has a proven experience of over 12 years in teaching at university level, focusing on the effective aspects of preparing civil engineering graduate students to bridge the gap between academic and theoretical skills with practical and professional skills needed to be successful in construction industry.

He is currently an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering, teaching Structural Analysis and Structural Design related courses such as Structural Analysis: Strength of Materials and Mechanics of Structures; Structural Design: Reinforced Concrete to Eurocode 2, Structural Steel Design to Eurocode 3, Structural Timber Design to Eurocode 5 and Structural Masonry Design to Eurocode 6
