Dr. Tumwine Christopher

Lecturer-Medical Sociology

Christopher Tumwine is a Medical Sociologist. He has taught at the university level in Uganda for over 10 years. Christopher currently works as a Lecturer in the Department of Mental Health at Kabale University School of Medicine (KABSOM). Prior to this, he worked as a Part-Time Lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Social Administration at Kyambogo University. Christopher also previously worked as a Research Fellow at the Infectious Diseases Institute in Uganda on a National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded HIV social behavioural research capacity building project. His doctoral research focused on socio-ecological factors influencing access to and use of HIV testing, treatment and care in fishing communities around Lake Victoria in Uganda.
