Dr. Mugarura Robert

Senior Lecturer

Dr Mugarura is a Urologist and General Surgeon who has spent most of his practice years serving in the Rural communities of Southwestern Uganda.  He holds an FCS-ECSA, MBA , MMED Surgery and MBChB .
Dr Mugarura is currently the Head of Surgery Department of Kabale University.

Dr Mugarura is passionate about improving access to safe and effective surgical care in rural communities through  training,  Research and Innovation in surgery practice.
Due to his passion in sharing knowledge and skills, Dr Mugarura compiled A Master of Medicine Surgery, Curriculum (Accredited by the Uganda NCHE, 2023). This curriculum is currently being implemented by the KABSOM department of surgery.
