Assistant Lecturer-Primary Education

Ankunda Grace holds a Master of education in Early Childhood Development (ECD), a Master of Arts in Educational Management, Bachelor of Education Degree, (BED), Diploma in Teacher Education (DTE) and Grade III Certificate. She holds the following certificates for short courses: ICT by International Computer Driving License (ICDL) under APTECH (ICDL Foundations), Mentorship for National Teachers College, under the Belgian development cooperation, Leadership and Management by COACH AFRICA LTD under the Belgian development cooperation, Research and Publication by CALM CONSULTANT LTD under the Belgian development cooperation,  Active teaching and learning by Ministry of Education and Sports and Certificate in Community based intervention..

Grace has experience of sixteen years training teachers as a Teacher Trainer, Tutor in Primary Teachers College and Senior Lecturer in National Teachers College and she also has experience in Teaching Primary Schools. She has participated in Curriculum Development for lower primary classes (Thematic Curriculum) and Early Grade Reading by the Ministry of Education and Sports Supported by USAID.

Grace’s research interest includes: Skilling teachers to handle Nursery children; outdoor activities and holistic development of children; Professional development of Nursery Teachers; Computer Game Strategy on kindergarten child Literacy Level; Integration of play in teaching/learning in Early Childhood Development and Education Centers; Quality Early Childhood Teacher Education for Quality Learning outcomes.
