Bachelor of Arts in Creative and Performing Arts

The Bachelor of Creative and Performing Arts shall balance academics (which combines practical work with analysis of the background of the subject), practice (involving a great deal of actual performance) and entrepreneurship (involving coaching on creative and performing arts enterprise development and management). Teaching shall therefore be delivered through a mix of practical workshops and lectures.

The programme shall, therefore, provide an overall foundation spanning various disciplines, before asking students to choose a particular pathway. It is dedicated for each of the main three branches of performing arts – music, dance and drama and associated crafts and occupations. Students may also study performing arts as part of a joint honors degree alongside another subject, perhaps in the humanities or another creative discipline like fine arts.

Students shall also be given an opportunity of taking part in a work experience placement during their studies, which shall be a good opportunity to develop their skills in a professional context.
