The Dean’s Message
Greetings to you all. I wish to inform you that the Faculty of Engineering, Technology, Applied Design & Fine Art recruited professional teaching staff and regularly reviews programmes to meet the demands of the job market and cope with changing technologies.

We continue to improve infrastructure, equipment and machinery so as to equip our students with hands-on skills. We develop practical and functioning student projects, some of which are usually exhibited on the University Annual Open Days, and at National and Regional Exhibitions.

I therefore call upon Parents and Guardians to entrust us with their sons and daughters for practically oriented engineering programmes aiming at personal development and nation building.

Engineers and designers may be employed in various fields such as: government ministries and authorities; international and local NGOs; industries and factories; air, water and land transportation; construction companies; consultancy firms; petroleum and energy sectors; research and development; culture and heritage organization; or tutors/lecturers in institutions of learning

Mechanical Engineers may be employed as: production engineers, materials handling officers/engineers, sales officers/engineers, product quality controllers, or mechanical technician/technologists

Civil Engineers may be employed as: site engineers/managers, construction engineers/managers, structural engineers, mansions/house masters, water installation officers, drainage engineers, or civil technicians/technologists.

Electrical Engineers may be employed as: station managers, substation engineers, electrical installation engineers, power generation engineers, communication systems engineers, signal processing engineers, electrical technicians/technologists, automobile wiring technicians, or energy engineers.

Professional Designers and Artists may be employed as: interior designers, industrial ceramists, graphic designers, quality controllers, art curators, media producers, fashion designers, or textile and fabric technologists.
